The $75 Thrift Shop Makeover Challenge: Dining Room
Yesterday I told you about my home decorating challenge--to redo my dining room and living room for a total of $75 or less using thrift shop finds. I am repainting the living room and keeping the Behr Warm Caramel paint that has been in my dining room for a couple of years now (a record!). My plan is to have the entire downstairs fit my feminine, flea market-shabby-cottage chic style and have it use as many reclaimed and vintage items as possible.
I am 99% done now with the dining room. I want to find one more vintage chair to repaint or add new cushions to. The rest is done! I moved some chairs around that I already had and my grand total for redoing the room comes in at LESS THAN $8. Seriously!
BEFORE #1 (THE DAY WE MOVED IN):
BEFORE #2 (I WAS GOING THROUGH A PRIM & COUNTRY PHASE AT THE TIME):
Corner--still thinking about this one. It has a Bombay Company $4.99 table that I got at the Salvation Army last fall.
My little phone area...the table was one I painted when I started loving robin's egg blue.
MY FAVORITE PART? THE DRESSER! IT'LL BE USED AS A BUFFET AS WELL.
My pretty vintage tablecloth was just $0.99!
Total Cost for the Redo--$7.91:
$2.94 paint at Home Depot
$4.97 for curtains and tablecloth at the Salvation Army
