Au Naturale Eye Essentials Kit

Special Spotlight: 2nd Edition

I told you yesterday about how more than 70 handmade artisans (just a day ago the number was just over 60) from across the country have been scammed by a small boutique in Springfield, Missouri. The state Attorney General's Office, USPS, and local authorities have been investigating. The scam has been covered on the television news channels and newspaper in that area over the past couple days as well.

I think what it so important to remember, though, is that handmade artisans create because they have a passion for it. I know I love making jewelry, wearing it, and hearing how a certain piece has brightened someone's day. We're not creating to get rich quick or because we have to do it. We love creating. So many talented artisans have been scammed. They may never get their money or their creations.

I want to spotlight their shops and their beautiful work:

I simply adore these colorful hoops from Leaf and Tendril!

I can't help but smile when I see these sock monkey elastics from Melissa Abram.

I love the versatility of navy. It's a great neutral and alternative to black. This gorgeous shift is from Out of Line.

Buster and Boo has some really unique cufflinks. What a nice gift these would be for that special guy in your life this Valentine's Day!

After lots of clouds and snow here in Upstate New York, I welcome this beautiful burst of yellow!
Lily hair clip is from Thread Rare.

You all know how much this girl adores black and white. This passport cover from Knotted Nest is no exception!

This animal print layering tunic from Coco and Juan would look great with black leggings.

This teal satchel from Wooly Bison is fantabulous!

I {heart} this headband made by Feather by Feather.
