Au Naturale Eye Essentials Kit

Today I removed a review from this blog for the first time in 3.5 years. You may recall I reviewed a product last week that was a $50 glass bottle of water with a ceramic bead in it. You may also recall I took great offense to the company's blog because they posted claims that their water can cure cancer in 3 easy steps, one of which included drinking "copious amounts" of their water. Added 3:10pm: The company's blog removed this post. I do have screen shots of these claims, though. The screen shots were sent to the FDA and Quackwatch yesterday.

I compared the company to snake oil salesmen. I asserted that this company's products are a scam since there's more evidence to contradict their claims than to support them.

I have been in discussions with the PR firm representing this company since last night. I was asked to change the tone of my review. I said "no". I do not believe in spinning a review of something I think is awful into something positive.

This morning I awoke to an email from the PR firm saying that the company's CEO has a strong legal expertise and that if the review isn't changed, they will take legal action. I normally do not ever back down, but this blogger refuses to get involved in a nasty legal battle over a blog post. This is a huge company and I am just a mom with two small kids. This would be an example of the big guns against the little guy.

The post in question has been removed. If you have further questions about it, please do not hesitate to email me.

Thanks for listening.
