A Little Bulletin Board Makeover
I needed a new bulletin board for my computer area. I have been looking at some online, but decided to take one I was no longer using and reuse it.
I bought this in 2001 when we lived in Savannah. I had it hanging in the spare bedroom, which had a beach theme. It's been sitting in a box in the garage for several years now.
I added some of my extra pieces of Tanya Whelan fabric to cover the board after I removed the buttons and ribbon. I used my hot glue gun to attach the fabric to the back of the board and to make little fabric pockets along the bottom.
Next, I found some favorite things--a coffee-dyed greeting card with a Hemingway quote I made a few years ago, an ACEO with coffee on it, and some favorite greeting cards. I also added in some Scrabble tiles. I added some other embellishments, too. It took me about 20 minutes to do everything.
After. So much better now!
