DIY Thursday: Grapefruit Facial Mist
I first came out with this in 2007 and it was a best seller.
A wonderful blend of essential oils to keep the oilies away without stripping the skin. This is 100% Natural and great for combination skin and oilier skin types with minor acne flare ups. You can also use it to treat "bacne", or breakouts on the back. It also makes for a wonderful aromatherapy spray to give you a little pick me up.
Lime essential oil has wonderful astringent properties and the ability to brighten dull and tired looking skin.
Lemon is rich in vitamin C, is detoxifying and can aid in regeneration.
Grapefruit essential oil is very refreshing and keeps skin clean.
Tea Tree is antibacterial. It helps to keep the pores clean amd remove debris.
Ingredients to make right around 4 fluid ounces:
2.5 ounces Aloe Vera Juice
1.5 ounces Witch Hazel Hydrosol (This is alcohol-free and wonderful)
15 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil ( I buy mine at a local natural foods store)
10 drops of Lime Peel Essential Oil
10 drops Lemon Essential Oil
5 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
I like to put this in a misting bottle to spritz on the skin. It can also go in a regular bottle and you can apply to a cotton ball and rub on to the skin.
