Low Carb? No Carb? Heart Healthy? Sugar Free?
Diets, diets, diets. We'll all tried them, haven't we? I'm starting a new diet today, although it may not be one with which you're familiar.
Last winter, I embarked on a personal journey by joining Jamie Ridler's online book club to discuss The 12 Secrets of Highly Creative Women by Gail McMeekin. During those 12 weeks, it greatly affected me in terms of my creative journey through life.
When I saw that Jamie's fall book club was on Martha Beck's The Joy Diet, I decided to sign up once again.
I do have a confession, though: I started reading a couple chapters several weeks back. Doing some of the exercises in the book helped me reach the point in my life when I decided that my business was no longer the passion I believed it to be. Those couple chapters truly have helped me get to where I want to be going.
I put the book down and decided to start from scratch beginning this week in order to mindfully practice each exercise in the book.
Chapter 1 begins with something called "Nothing." It sounds so simple, but I think we'll discover how difficult doing nothing can actually be.
I look forward to discussing this book with other the other participating bloggers and with you, my friends visiting Chic & Green.
