Could It Be Shower Bliss?
Crabtree & Evelyn has truly impressed me with their Naturals line. With the exception of the soaps, which contain palm oil, I adore nearly everything in this range.
When I was at the mall the other day I spotted their new Shower Mousse. I wanted to try immediately when I saw my favorite C & E scent in this formula. My favorite of the naturals scent is their Olive, Almond & Myrtle. This is a scent which reminds me of a comfort version of Gap Dream. I use this scent quite often in their Body Mist, which I tote with me in my handbag and also use to spritz as a scent mist in my mom-mobile.
I typically use cold-process soap in my shower. Aunt Nancy's Handmade Soaps fill my wooden soap box in the bathroom, and I use her soaps in rotation according to my mood. The only paraben-free, sulfate-free shower gel/body wash I really enjoyed was by an etail shop called Aloha Coconut, which is now closed. They just tend to be more drying than a well made cold process soap.
I decided to try the Naturals Shower Mousse for the first time this morning. The mousse evolved into a light shaving cream consistency and there was a nice light foamy lather. When I used to use shower washes from Bath and Body Works or Philosophy, I always began to itch in the shower due to sulfate-inducing dehydration and irritation. None of that here. This product contains a host of naturally nourishing ingredients. No sulfates. No parabens. No mineral oil. No nasties.
The olive oil in this really helped to soothe and protect my skin during the cleansing process. The scent is lingering ever so slightly 2.5 hours post shower.
Unlike using my Aunt Nancy's soaps, my skin was not moisturized enough to skip lotion or cream. My skin felt clean and nicely scented when I toweled off, but it felt like it needed more hydration. I applied my kzm Mediterranean Almond Creme immediately.
As neat of a concept this C & E product seemed when I purchased it, I would not buy it again. This, however, would be a great product for those with oily skin. If you have oily skin and would like a one step cleanse-nourish in the shower product, then I highly recommend this product! It truly could result in a blissful shower experience for you!
If the skin on your body is dry, skip it.
